Christmas in February!

Bonjour Everyone! We have great news! It’s almost eight o’clock at night here but a few minute ago we had a surprise visit from our CEA advisor, Kristen, telling us that it was Christmas in February! She brought us our package from Mom and Dad that has been missing for three weeks (it was delivered to two other girls’ apartment in our program and they just decided to hold on to it for a while I guess!) and a router for our internet! We were so excited and so lucky because she had stopped by a few of the other students’ apartments and the internet did not work for them. This will definitely save us a lot of money at the internet café!!!! We have the ABSOLUTE BEST parents in the world and we are so lucky not only for the opportunity to come here and study abroad but also for the amazing packages full of food and goodies! Thanks Mom and Dad and please, NO MORE!!!!!

It has been raining all day every day since our last blog and according to the weather channel it is supposed to continue until at least the end of the week before we get a break. Apparently we are not the only country receiving weird weather, London just received over a foot of snow! (We both would prefer the snow over the rain any day – we are jealous of you guys back home!) This week in most of our classes we are just reviewing and preparing for our first set of midterms next week. The French have two midterms instead of one and a final. We are pretty nervous and are trying to study as much as possible since we don’t know what to expect, but this internet will surely be a distraction now! We had our composition and rhetoric II class today. Last week we had our first composition where we just wrote for three hours straight. Today our teacher spent over a half an hour explaining how bad everyone did and how more than half of the class deserved to fail so we were pretty nervous to get our grades back. We both did better than we expected thank goodness!

We heard the Steelers won – too bad! But at least it was a good game! Hope everyone is doing well at home! Hope work and school is going well! Love and miss you tons!
Kiss kiss!
Love, Jen and Em

  1. I'm sorry about the rain. It makes it less hard to study than when it is nice outside. I can't believe it is time for midterms. Is that 1/3 of the way through? Your mom is counting down the days til her trip to Paris. Then you have a trip to London after that.
